Hello there sir! Are you a amoral gentleman willing to make lots of money? Then we have a spot on this ship for you. We are looking for strong men but are willing to accept a lady who can fight of the large number of “admirers” she will acquire on the ship; also, the clothes of a sailor have been known to hide many a strange thing.
Open Positions:
Seneschal
What do I do? A Seneschal is the kind of person who knows a port as soon as their ship is landed. They know where to get the most money for the ship’s ill gotten goods and can cut a deal as crooked as a dogs leg. Also, you give council to the captain in negotiations. But be wary, as it is your job to ensure that crewmembers get paid you can expect to have a few troubles with certain members of the crew.
Master-At-Arms
What do I do? As a master at arms it is your job to ensure that the raiding parties are properly trained. You watch and command them through seemingly endless drills on the flat deck and are the first to land into battle when the time for a raid comes. During a raid you have the important duty of securing, or in some cases, creating a landing strip for The Stormbringer. As possibly the most skilled fighter on the ship you provide the captain council on matters of war.
Helmsman
What do I do? As the helmsman you guide The Stormbringer with a steady hand. You know how to keep the ship aloft and can use the knowledge of the multiple instruments on the observation deck to tell when danger approaches and what the ship needs.
Chief Surgeon
What do I do? The decks of the ship are a dangerous place on their own, but with the addition of combat it becomes a place where injuries are common. While The Stormbringer may not have the greatest medical tools the chief surgeon should be able to make do with what he has. You can pull a bullet out of a man in an instant and take a crewmember back from the grips of death.
Quarter Master
What do I do? As a quarter master it is your job to see that every object in The Stormbringer’s massive cargo holds are accounted for and in working order. You control the armories of the ship and ration the food that feeds the crewmembers. Should something in the cargo break it is your job to fix or find someone who can.
Navigator
What do I do? As a navigator it is your job to chart courses for The Stormbringer. You should be able to read any map and chart a course for anywhere. You should be able to account for weather patterns or storms to keep The Stormbringer far from danger. Mastery of aeronautical devices is a must as is the ability to read.
Pit Master
What do I do? As a Pit Master you may be the cruelest person on the ship. You control the slave pits to ensure that the boiler is kept running at all times. Dealing out death and punishment with a barbed whip, not a bit of compassion should reside in your black heart.
Engineer
What do I do? As an engineer you work in “the forest”, a massive, twining maze of pipes. You are under the command of the master engineer and will quickly learn not to disobey his demands. Because you are working on a ship no one truly understands, you must be quick witted and be able to make due with what is at hand.
Raid Captain
What do I do? As a raid captain you lead a team of men into the fray. You must ensure that all your objectives are kept or else you and your men will go unpaid, and you can expect a few “accidents.” You must be skilled in combat and be able to keep order. Bravery is a must as is the ability to put your fellow man into chains.
Raider
What do I do? Are you just really unskilled and can’t do any of the above jobs? Then become a raider! Under the command of your Raid Captain you leap out of an airship and parachute down onto the unsuspecting and bring ruin upon them. Whether you do it for money, cruelty, or adventure there is never a shortage of Raiders.
If you think you’re worthy enough to fly on The Stormbringer contact me and give me an idea of what you want to do. I’ll most likely accept it and then you can try to get your app past. Can’t wait to see another Mist Wraith Pirate!
